Women in the Middle Ages

   One of the most exciting periods in English history was the Middle Ages.  Famous Kings' names disperse throughout the History books. There was a famous woman (the Medieval Queens or Princesses) behind every famous king of the Middle Ages. There were the women who were the wives of the famous English kings who married men such as William the Conquerer, Richard the Lionheart, King Henry II, and King Edward III.  Middle Ages women who included many Queens and Princesses and mistresses who shared the most powerful positions with their husbands and lovers. Many Medieval women of the Middle Ages had extremely important influence over their sons and they had to be strong. Their lives cover the vicious Medieval periods from 1066-1488.
