For example, throughout the speech King uses Pathos. As a case in point, he says, "Let us not wallow in the valley of despair." This creates the affect of strength and motivation towards the African Americans for them to persevere throughout all of the difficult times that they have faced.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr. uses alot of imagery in his speech I have a dream . He uses imagery to make his audience think about the main point of his speech. King's imagery usage also attracts attention to specfic parts of the speech.
